About Neoscan Solutions GmbH
About us
Welcome to Neoscan Solutions! We are a young MedTech company based in Magdeburg, Germany. We are burning for magnetic resonance. That is why we are developing new solutions for tomorrow's MRI: compact, digital, and innovative. Our first project is a 1.5T MRI system designed for use in the NICU. Providing the youngest and most vulnerable patients easy access to radiation-free imaging is revolutionizing the diagnostic capabilities of pediatric radiology. In our projects we collaborate with Otto-von-Guericke-University, and we participate in the STIMULATE Research Campus. (hier bitte Link: https://www.forschungscampus-stimulate.de/)
Clinical need for pediatric MRI
We want to give the youngest patients the opportunity to be diagnosed at the same high standards as we as adults. Placing a sleeping infant in a conventional MRI system at a given time of a tightly packed radiology schedule is difficult to realize. Risky transports and sedation often complicate the decision for an MRI. That is the reason why the Neoscan MRI system is specially designed for an individual examination of newborns and infants up to an age of 2 years. It can be installed on the ward next to the patients. The exam starts when the patient is ready. The fact that the system is reserved for infants allows for a stress-free and low acoustic noise examination.
Innovations in MRI
The Neoscan Solutions MRI system is newly designed from scratch. One immediately visible feature is that our MR magnet does not require any liquid helium. The conductively cooled magnet, the RF system, and the console were developed by our international and interdisciplinary team here in Magdeburg. In addition to the MR scanner development, we are also working on new software solutions for MR imaging in clinical and university use: for example, a simple and intuitive MR sequence design application for radiologists and physicists.

The MRI-System which is currently being developed by Neoscan Solutions is not commercially available in all countries. Its future availability cannot be guaranteed.
